Ignite Studio

Empowering Young Minds Through Hands-On Electronics and STEM Learning

The Need

In many small towns across India, students have limited access to hands-on STEM education. Textbook learning often lacks the spark of real experimentation. Without exposure to electronics, coding, and making, young innovators may never get the chance to build the skills that shape tomorrow.

The Idea

Ignite Studio is a grassroots tinkering lab designed to bring electronics and STEM to life for school students. It’s a playful, immersive space where curiosity leads the way — enabling kids to build real projects, learn through doing, and discover the joy of innovation.

What We’re Building

  • A dedicated lab space in a small town equipped with tools, sensors, microcontrollers, and basic fabrication equipment.
  • Project-based learning modules in electronics, circuits, coding, robotics, and more.
  • A community of mentors including local teachers and volunteer engineers.
  • A program structure designed for kids aged 10–16, encouraging them to tinker, explore, and solve problems.

What’s Unique

  • Play-first approach: Our motto is "Make things while playing" — learning happens naturally through fun.
  • Local roots: Designed for underserved areas, led by local champions.
  • Focus on electronics: Unlike general tinkering labs, Ignite Studio emphasizes core electronics and coding.
  • Open source projects: All project guides and materials will be shared publicly for others to replicate.

Get Involved

We’re looking for:

  • Supporters to help fund tools, materials, and mentors
  • Mentors who can contribute knowledge and run sessions
  • Local schools and NGOs to partner with for outreach
  • Electronics educators to co-create engaging learning paths
